Flood Warning until 05:30AM Monday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* WHEN...Until 530 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 129 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chanute, Iola, Humboldt, Yates Center, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Toronto, Buffalo, Neosho Falls, Savonburg, Elsmore, Stark, Virgil, Coyville, Mildred, Bassett, Rose, Piqua and Petrolia.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEN, KS ... GREENWOOD, KS ... NEOSHO, KS ... WILSON, KS ... WOODSON, KS

Instructions:

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
