Currently serving as the Nurse Manager in the Transitions of Care unit at Hackensack Meridian Health, Ms. Baras brings years of experience in program development, regulatory compliance, and visionary leadership. She has dedicated her career to addressing the healthcare needs of the LGBTQIA+ community and creating more inclusive, affirming spaces within the healthcare system.

During the meeting, Ms. Baras will speak about how community members, educators, and leaders can help support the LGBTQIA+ population. Her insights aim to foster greater understanding, empathy, and action within the Franklin Township community.

The Franklin Township Stigma-Free Council continues its mission to reduce mental health stigma and substance use disorder stigma by developing community events, resource workshops, youth programs, and public awareness campaigns. The council welcomes residents who are interested in joining or learning more about its efforts.
