Juneteenth Virtual Town Hall Discussion: tomorrow, Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m.
You are cordially invited to participate in a virtual Town Hall discussion dedicated to honoring and reflecting upon the historic significance of Juneteenth on Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m.
The community Town Hall will provide an opportunity for residents to come together in celebration, reflection, and education as we recognize the importance of Juneteenth and its lasting impact on our nation and communities today.
The evening will focus on spreading awareness, encouraging thoughtful dialogue, and educating residents of all ages and backgrounds about the history of Juneteenth, the significance of freedom and equality, and the continued importance of unity and understanding within our community. Through open conversation and shared perspectives, we hope to foster a deeper appreciation for this important moment in American history and its relevance in today’s society.
Mayor Francis ‘Mac’ Womack believes that education and community engagement are essential in building a stronger and more informed township. This Town Hall is intended to serve as a welcoming and inclusive space for residents to learn, reflect, ask questions, and participate in meaningful discussion.
We encourage all residents, community leaders, families, students, and neighbors to attend and take part in this important event as we come together in the spirit of remembrance, respect, and community unity.
