Arrest for Child Sexual Abuse Material

On June, 17th 2026, detectives and patrol officers with the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) arrested 27-year-old Uriel Leobardo Ruiz Altamirano a Rohnert Park resident, for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

In February 2026, RPDPS received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), referred through the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children (SVICAC) Task Force.

Following a thorough investigation, RPDPS detectives identified Uriel Leobardo Ruiz Altamirano as the primary suspect. Detectives served multiple search warrants to electronic service providers associated with Uriel’s accounts.

On June 16th, 2026, a Ramey Warrant was issued for Uriel’s arrest and a search warrant was issued for his residence. On January 17th, 2026, RPDPS detectives and patrol officers served the warrant at his residence and placed him under arrest. Uriel was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility for the following violation:
California Penal Code § 311.11(a)(1) – Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, with bail set at $90,000.
