Northeastern Gilmer County in north central West Virginia... Lewis County in northern West Virginia... Northeastern Braxton County in north central West Virginia... Upshur County in northeastern West Virginia... Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia... Southeastern Harrison County in northern West Virginia...

* Until 745 AM EDT.

* At 713 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Newburg to 6 miles southeast of Grafton to near Stonewall Jackson, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Clarksburg, Elkins, Buckhannon, Grafton, Weston, Philippi, Glenville, Audra State Park, Bridgeport, Belington, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Anmoore, Jackson Mill, Stonewall Jackson, Rock Cave, Beverly, West Milford, Junior, and Burnsville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 79 between mile markers 78 and 120. Route 50 in West Virginia near mile marker 82. Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 35.

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for north central West Virginia.
