* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Central Randolph County in northeastern West Virginia... West central Pocahontas County in northeastern West Virginia... Eastern Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia... Southeastern Webster County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 245 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles south of Mill Creek to near Richwood, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Webster Springs, Addison (Webster Springs), Mill Creek, Dailey, Mingo, Beverly, Huttonsville, Monterville, Slaty Fork, Waneta, Bowden, Valley Head, and Bergoo.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NICHOLAS, WV ... POCAHONTAS, WV ... RANDOLPH, WV ... WEBSTER, WV

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
