Cooling center open Tuesday through Thursday at the Resiliency Center, 710 Hermann Rd. 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
The Township of North Brunswick will be opening a Cooling Center (NORTH BRUNSWICK RESIDENTS ONLY) at the North Brunswick Community Resiliency Center, 710 Hermann Road from Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from Wednesday. Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 107 degrees expected. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. While the hottest conditions are expected to occur on Wednesday, heat indices will climb into the mid and upper 90s today.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Also, young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Always LOOK before you LOCK!
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Heat-related illness can affect everyone. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are extremely dangerous and can be life-threatening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
