City of Sonora Emergency Public Notice 
IMMEDIATE EVACUATION ORDER - SEVERE WEATHER EMERGENCY
Due to severe weather and the potential for dangerous flooding, all residents living along the Dry Devil's River in Sonora Texas are instructed to evacuate their homes immediately.
Your safety is our highest priority. Do not wait until floodwaters begin to rise. Gather essential medications, important documents, neccesary personal items and leave the area as quickly and safely as possible.
A temporary emergency shelter has been established at the Sutton County Civic Center for anyone needing a safe place to stay until the storm has passed.
If you know if neighbors, family members or others who may not have received this notice or who have limited access to emergency alerts, please notify them immediately and assist them if it is safe to do so.
