Road Work Notice: July 27 - July 31 - 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily

Road Closures (expect detours):
- Union St. (Willow St. to Clay St.) – Detour via Willow St. and Silver St., northbound lane will reopen at night
- Shasta St. (Beech St. to Union St.) – Detours via Silver St. For local traffic only, one way traffic in and out from Beech St.
- Somerville St. (Beech St. to Maple St.) – Detours via Silver St.
- Rand St. (Hanover St. to Crystal St.) – Short-term road closure for final paving
- Old Cohas Ave (Cohas Ave to Dead-end) – Short-term road closure for final paving, local access will be restricted from 7 am to 12 pm due to dead-end road, please plan accordingly
Partial Lane Closures and Lane Shifts – Traffic to be maintained through work zones
- Brown Ave. (Queen City Ave. to W. Baker St.) – Northbound traffic to be detoured, southbound to remain open
- Cilley Rd., South Willow St., and Queen City Ave. – Temporary lane impacts
- Massabesic St. (Valley St. to Jewett St.) – Partial lane closures, traffic shifted.
- Willow St. (Cilley Rd. and Union St) – Northbound traffic will be shifted to southbound lanes
- Elm St. (Calef Rd to Brown Ave) – Lane shifts and potential short-term alternating one-way traffic patterns for final paving.
- Cohas Ave. (Island Pond Rd. to Greenwood Court and Old Cohas Ave.) – Alternating one-way traffic patterns for final paving.
- Lenz St. (Denis St. to Rose Terrace) – Partial lane closures for final paving
- Wilson St. (Hayward St. to Valley St.) – Sidewalk to be impacted
- Intersection of Queen City Ave and Brown Ave – Temporary 5-10 minute all traffic stop due to blasting operations. Traffic to follow police detail directive.
What to Expect and Important Notes
- Expect road closures and detours during construction hours.
- Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
- Parking will be prohibited within the construction area.
- For dead-end road closures, please note hand delivered notices with special instructions for driveway access and parking limitations during paving timelines.
- Drivers and pedestrians should use extreme caution when traveling past work zones, especially at night or in adverse weather when visibility is limited.
- Driveway access to local businesses and homes within closures will be maintained and closely coordinated by the Contractor. If driveway access is temporarily blocked, coordinate with crews or police for property access.
- For lane shifts during construction, follow new lane markings, barricaded routes, or traffic cones and allow extra travel time.
- Whenever possible, we encourage drivers to plan ahead and avoid the construction area.
