On 7/27/26 at around 10:45 p.m., Simi Valley Police Officers responded to a report of a prowler in the backyard of a residence on Willowbrook Lane. As officers arrived, the caller reported that the suspect had jumped a fence into another yard on Pride Street. The suspect attempted to flee and ignored an officer's commnads to stop. With the assistance of a police K-9, the suspect was taken into custody after a short struggle.
The ensuing investigation determined that the suspect had entered at least three residential yards without permission and caused property damage, including damage to a fence and a spa.
The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Tyler Conn of Simi Valley. Conn was arrested for prowling, possession of methamphetamine, vandalism, and resisting arrest.
