As of 9:45 p.m. tonight, August 1, the public can expect an increased law enforcement presence in the area of Aquatera Apartments and Gardner Drive on Hilton Head Island as deputies investigate a report of shots fired.
At this time, there is no threat to the public.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone who witnesses suspicious or criminal activity to report it by calling the non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777.
