Due to the high temperatures expected in the region this week, the Paramount Park Community Center (14400 Paramount Blvd.) will be activated as a Cooling Center from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, through Friday, August 7. Water and nutritional snacks will be provided in a temperature controlled environment to help individuals of all ages beat the heat.
The Orange Splash Pad (14818 Orange Ave.) will also have temporary extended hours and be available from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free.
