DPW Road Work Notice: August 10 - August 14 - 7:00 am - 5:00 pm daily
The Manchester Department of Public Works (DPW) will be performing construction and maintenance work at various locations throughout the city from August 10 - August 14 Please see the locations listed below.
Lane Closures or Lane Shifts (traffic to be maintained through work zones)
- Bremer St (Upland St to Eddy Rd/McGregor St) – Final cleanup
- Bouchard St (Harvey Rd to Kelly Ave) – Final cleanup
- Huse Rd Neighborhood (Edna, Leo, Valentine, Lebel, Roycraft, Sears, Parenteau, Chartrand, Keystone, Karin) – Final cleanup
- Porter St (Mammoth Rd to Cilley Rd) – Sidewalk, curbing, and overlay paving
- Beech St (North St to Bridge St) – Curbing and/or sidewalk work
- S. Willow St (at Weston Rd) – Roadway widening and signal work
- Revere Ave (Longwood Ave to Candia Rd) – Final cleanup
- Longwood Ave (Mammoth Rd to Woodbine Ave) – Final cleanup
- Norton Ave (Longwood Rd to Candia Rd) – Final cleanup
- Maynard Ave (Rosewood Ln to Huse Rd) – Paving preparation
- Celeste St (Rockwell St to S Porter St) – Final cleanup
- Rockwell St (Purdue St to Celeste St) – Final cleanup
- Cilley Rd (at Jewett St) – Signal work
- Mammoth Rd (Bridge St to Lake Ave) – Paving preparation
- Queen City Ave (Elm St to Sundial Ave) – Paving preparation
- Construction schedules can change unexpectedly.
- Expect lane/road closures and detours during construction hours.
- Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
- Parking will be prohibited when required.
- Drivers and pedestrians should use extreme caution when traveling past work zones, especially at night or in adverse weather when visibility is limited.
- Driveway access to local businesses and homes within closures will be maintained and closely coordinated by the Contractor. If driveway access is temporarily blocked, coordinate with crews or police for property access.
- For lane shifts during construction, follow new lane markings, barricaded routes, or traffic cones and allow extra travel time.
- Whenever possible, we encourage drivers to plan ahead and avoid the construction area.
