1 DUI Arrest & 12 Cited - Labor Day Weekend Checkpoint
On Friday 9/4, Novato Police held a DUI checkpoint on DeLong Ave at Redwood Blvd in Novato. The enforcement efforts were part of a national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization campaign, where officers on patrol throughout the country take suspected impaired drivers off the road.
- 1196 vehicles entered checkpoint.
- 1 DUI Arrest: driver cited and released for DUI – under the influence of marijuana.
- 12 Citations:
- 10 drivers cited for unlicensed driving
- 1 driver cited and released for driving on suspended license. The driver’s license was suspended for a previous DUI violation/arrest.
- 1 minor cited for possession of marijuana.
