Updated Info: Prescribed Burn at Angel Island State Park 
Our Communications Center has received several calls this afternoon regarding the smell of smoke in the air.
At this time, there have been no fires reported or located in the Berkeley area.
We are aware that a prescribed burn is taking place today at Angel Island State Park, from approximately 9 am to 6 pm. Smoke from the prescribed burn may be contributing to the smell in the air in our area.
We will continue to monitor the situation. If you see actual flames or a column of smoke in your area, please report it by calling 911.
This prescribed burn has the potential to continue throughout the week.
