Maple Street Traffic Changes Monday, September 14, 2026 - Temporary lane reduction to be implemented between Hanover St and Bridge St
The City of Manchester’s Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that as part of the Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) grant signalization project, a temporary lane reduction will be implemented starting Monday, September 14, 2026 on Maple Street between Hanover St and Bridge St. This traffic pattern change will allow the Department to analyze the added efficiently of the individual intersections as well as the connectivity between intersections, ultimately providing added capacity to the corridors where this technology was implemented (Maple St. Beech St, Hanover St, Bridge St).
