The City of Amsterdam announces the following road work will take place on October 2, 2026 beginning at 6:00 A.M. and will continue again on Monday, October 5, 2026 and Tuesday, October 6, 2026 until work is complete:
Friday, October 2, 2026
- Milling of both lanes on Upper Market Street from Van Dyke Avenue to the City line. No road closure; flaggers will direct traffic.
- Milling of Northampton Road from Guy Park Avenue to Hobart Street. No road closure; flaggers will direct traffic.
Monday, October 5, 2026
- Paving of lower Northampton Road from Guy Park Avenue to Hobart Street. Road will be closed to traffic in the specified section.
Tuesday, October 6, 2026
Paving of Upper Marker Street from Van Dyke Avenue to the City line. Northbound traffic will continue with flaggers directing traffic and Southbound traffic will be detoured to Northampton Road.
