Registered Sex Offender Arrest in Connection to Sexual battery
ROHNERT PARK, CA — On October 1, 2026, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety arrested Gregg David Nathan, a registered high-risk sex offender, in connection with an investigation into a sexual battery that occurred in late August 2026 in Rohnert Park.
The investigation began after RPDPS received a report involving an incident in the area of businesses on Redwood Drive near Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park. During the investigation, detectives learned Nathan had allegedly approached younger males and offered to provide them with a foot massage, telling them he had experience in reflexology. Investigators believe that after beginning the foot massage, Nathan would attempt to escalate the encounter and engage in unwanted sexual contact.
As detectives continued investigating the incident, information was developed indicating this behavior may not have been isolated and that Nathan may have engaged in a similar pattern of conduct on previous occasions.
Nathan, a Santa Rosa resident, was taken into custody on October 1, 2026, for the following violation:
• California Penal Code § 243.4(e)(1) — Sexual Battery
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is seeking to identify additional potential victims or witnesses who may have had similar encounters with Nathan. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was approached by Nathan and offered a foot massage, told that Nathan had experience in reflexology, or experienced unwanted sexual contact during a similar encounter.
Anyone with information regarding Nathan, or anyone who believes they may have been a victim of similar conduct, is encouraged to contact the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Investigations Unit at 707-584-2600.
RPDPS remains committed to investigating sexual offenses, identifying additional victims, holding offenders accountable, and connecting victims with appropriate resources and support.
This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone arrested or accused of a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
