The City of Aztec asks that citizens conserve treated water and reduce wastewater disposal (showering, flushing toilets, dish washers, etc). The Llano Lift Station once again had to be shut down due to Animas River flooding to avoid sewage waste entering the river system.
Once the Animas River flooding has subsided, the Llano Lift will be operational again.
