On Friday, October 16th, 2015, 2nd Precinct Community Liaison Officer Claudia Delgado was honored with a Community Service Award by the Town of Huntington Hispanic Task Force for her outstanding work in the community. The Town Board presented Officer Delgado with a Proclamation.
This annual event which includes cultural musical performances and dinner was held this year at the Jack Abrams Stem Magnet School in Huntington Station to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. Attending the ceremony in support of Officer Delgado were Second Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Hatton, Deputy Inspector Read and Detective Lieutenant Stephen Hernandez, Commanding Officer Bias Crimes and Special Victims Unit, Officers Anthony Iadevaio and Drew Fiorillo.
After thanking those in attendance, Officer Claudia Delgado thanked the Hispanic Task Force, the Town Council and expressed her appreciation for having the opportunity to work with the community in her position as the Second Precinct Community Liaison Officer.
