Suffolk County Police Department Graduates the 166th Police Recruit Class
On Friday, April 1, 2016, Second Precinct Commanding Officer Christopher Hatton and Executive Officer Bill Read attended the Suffolk County Police Academy graduation ceremony for the 166th class of police recruits.
Thirteen of the newly graduated police recruits have been assigned to the Second Precinct where they will begin their field training with a certified Field Training Officer. Upon satisfactory completion of their training requirements, these officers will be assigned as patrol officers in the Second Precinct.
The welcome addition of these outstanding young officers will further enhance our ability to serve the community through a variety of programs aimed at crime reduction, traffic safety, and responding to community complaints regarding quality of life issues.
Several of these officers will be in attendance at our next Precinct community meeting at the South Huntington Library on April 13, 2016 at 7PM, where members of the community may meet and greet our new officers.
