Date/Time: Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at approximately 11:55 p.m.
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured two female pedestrians, one seriously, in North Lindenhurst last night.
First Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of a hit and run at Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue at 11:55 p.m. Two twenty-year-old Lindenhurst females were walking from the north side of Sunrise Highway to the south side, when they were struck by an unknown vehicle traveling westbound. The driver then fled the scene.
Both victims were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment, one with serious injuries, and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
