THIS HAS BEEN DELAYED UNTIL TOMORROW 7/28.

Pending weather, we will be starting the road overlay project tomorrow, Monday Morning (7/27) at 8:00 am. The following will be the schedule for the project as we know right now:

Monday 7/27: Milling will be completed from corner of Hickory and S Shore Drive to the entrance of South Park.

Tuesday 7/28: Milling will be completed from South Park Entrance to the Dam Spillway.

Wednesday 7/29: Paving will be completed from corner of Hickory and S Shore Drive to the entrance of South Park.

Thursday 7/30: Paving will be completed from South Park Entrance to the Dam Spillway.

Please make note: NO vehicles are to be parked on the roads this week (7/27 to 7/31) from 900 S Shore Drive to the dam spillway from 7am to 7pm during the project. This includes, but not limited to, any visitors, contractors, or service vehicles you may have at your residence. If any such vehicles are on the road during this week, they will be subject to tow at owners expense. It is imperative that the road is clear for the paving company to have clear path to complete the project in a timely basis.

During this project, the paving contractor will be using South Park parking lot and the Dam Area Parking Lot for storage of the equipment overnight. Please do not have any vehicles parked at the dam. Please do not have any vehicles parked in the west side of the parking lot in South Park facing the residents backyards. If necessary, only use first row of parking spots that face the ball diamonds.

Also during this project, there will be dump trucks taking the road millings to the HOA property below the Dam for future use for the City or HOA. Be careful as you see the trucks entering or leaving the access road to North Shore Drive.

I am working to see if the city can have the trash service date changed to Friday pending how the work in the 900 to 1100 block is progressing. Details to follow.

Please note that this schedule is pending weather conditions. There is a distinct possibility that the project may not start on Monday due to the severe storm projected tonight and tomorrow.

Also, plan to make alternative travel plans as to whether you take the 72nd street entrance or the Green Hills Entrance. We know that this can be an inconvenience, but remember that this project is being completed for the betterment of the road system for all residents of Lake Waukomis.
