To all residents:

On Monday 8/9/21, the road overlay project for the 200 through 700 block will start. For those residents in this area of project, please note that parking on the streets will NOT be allowed. Please be sure to contact any contractors including lawn service companies of the need to stay off all road surfaces all next week.

** Any vehicles that are on the road that will not be moved could be ticketed and towed so that the work can be completed on a timely basis! **

We understand that this will be an inconvenience to all in this area, but please remember that this temporary inconvenience will result in a better long-term road for you. The initial start of the project will be the milling of the road during Monday 8/9 and Tuesday 8/10. Then the plan is for the overlay of the road will be completed on Wednesday 8/11 thru Saturday 8/14. Work is scheduled to run daily from 8am to 6pm. This is all subject to Weather and any other circumstances beyond our control. There will be traffic control on this project. We ask all residents not living in the 200 to 700 block to avoid use this section of city to travel through the city next week during the scheduled work time.

Please remember to be courteous to our road paving contractor as they are in our city to improve our road system. I would expect only positive responses from them about how the residents of Lake Waukomis were friendly and appreciative of their helping the city and not annoyed and disrespectful to them.
