Advisory

Advisory (Yellow Status) Issued

Clinton County, Indiana will be implementing a county travel status of “Advisory” (Yellow) effective at 5 pm today, December 21, 2022.
Advisory (Yellow) – Means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those hazards.
County and city leaders determined that the potential threat of a severe weather incident is probable for Clinton County based on the National Weather Service.  This weather incident has the potential for bringing in an arctic air mass Friday through Sunday with wind chills in the subzero temperatures. High winds and potential snow could lead to power outages and drifting on City and County roadways. The “flash freeze” could highly effect roadways and electrical services within our county and impact our emergency services.
Clinton County EMA director Darrel Sanders will be monitoring this weather incident closely, with the assistance of Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton County Highway Department, Frankfort Police Department and the National Weather Service.
We will be updating this information periodically as more details arise.
