Cooling Centers open Tuesday through Thursday at the Senior Center and Public Library 
Due to anticipated temperatures over 90 degrees today through Thursday, Cooling Centers will be open Tuesday, September 5, Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7 at the North Brunswick Senior Center, 15 Linwood Place and North Brunswick Public Library, 880 Hermann Road.
The cooling center hours at the Senior Center are:
Tuesday, September 5 – Thursday, September 7: 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
The cooling center hours at the Public Library are:
Tuesday, September 5: 9:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Wednesday, September 6: 9:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Thursday, September 7: 9:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
A Heat Advisory is in effect.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
