Earlier this morning, there was a very large Wireless outage reported across the United States.  The report was Wireless and FirstNet customers cannot make or receive voice and data calls to and from mobile, including 911 calls.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that if you are unable to place a voice call to 911 but are capable of sending texts you can TEXT 911 if you have an emergency.  

Indiana residents have been able to text 911 since May 2014.  It is a great alternative when you are unable to place a voice call whether you are hearing impaired or if you are in a situation where it is unsafe for you to place a voice call.
