The Rend Lake Conservancy District Water District has begun water system repairs. This outage affects the water customers in Perry County served by the Village of Tamaroa, City of Du Quoin, Village of Dowell and Greenwood Creek Nation. Those systems affected should have adequate supplies during these repairs but could experience lower or even no water pressure if system supply runs low. Customers served by these entities are encouraged to conserve water if possible until water is restored to these water systems. It is anticipated when supplies are restored some water systems supplied by these systems could be on a boil order until further notice. When a boil order is issued customers should only consume water after bringing water to a boil for 5 minutes. (City of Pinckneyville remains on a boil order due to a water main leak) . REGULAR UPDATES WILL BE SENT THROUGHT THE DAY TO INFORM THOSE AFFECTED.
