Rend Lake Conservancy Water District has advised there has been a setback in the repairs of the water main. Crews are working overnight to make further repairs, More than likely the water will not be turned on until at the earliest at 8 AM February 12, 2025 barring any further setbacks. the Village of Tamaroa, City of DuQuoin and Greenwood Creek Nation and Village of Dowell are currently operating on reserve capacities. Customers may experience low or no water pressure during this event until water has been restored. Boil orders may be instituted by some or all of the aformentioned distribution systems if necessary and those updates will be forthcoming. Customers are still enouraged to conserve water if possible. The City of Pinckneyville remains under a boil order due to a water line break. Customers who may be under a boil order should boil there water for at least 5 minutes and allow to cool before consumption. PCEMA WILL PROVIDE FURTHER UPDATES AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE.
