Rend Lake Conservancy Water District has advised that the plan to restore water to local water systems has been delayed until between 10:00 am and noon today, barring further setbacks. The Village of Tamaroa, City of Du Quoin, Greenwood Creek Nation, and Village of Dowell are still operating on reserve capacities. Customers may experience low or no water pressure during this event until water has been restored. Boil orders may be instituted by some or all of the aforementioned distribution systems if necessary, and those updates will be forthcoming. Customers are still encouraged to conserve water if possible. Customers under a boil order should boil their water for at least 5 minutes and allow it to cool before consumption. PCEMA WILL PROVIDE FURTHER UPDATES AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE.
