Good afternoon. The winter storm is underway with moderate snow falling. The snow will become heavier over the next few hours into the overnight with strong wind gusts causing blizzard conditions.
 
A State of Emergency is in effect for New Jersey and North Brunswick. Please stay off the roads.
 
If your vehicle is parked on the street, please move it immediately. Vehicles left on the street will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.
 
If your vehicles cannot be parked on your property, the following township locations are available for temporary parking during the storm event:
 
Senior Center located on Linwood Place,
Babbage Park-Glenridge Avenue,
Public Library-Hermann Road,
Parking lot across from the Municipal Building,
Veterans Park-Roosevelt Avenue, 
Community Park-Rt. 130,
Sabella Park-Cozzens Lane,
 JFK Park-Schmidt Lane
 
Please make sure to shovel your sidewalks following the storm to ensure safety for pedestrians.
 
Please do NOT throw snow into the street when clearing your property. The Township code prohibits casting snow onto Township roadways. 
 
If you live near a fire hydrant, please help the Fire Department and your neighbors, by shoveling around the hydrant. This could be a life saving measure!
 
Also, check on your elderly neighbors.

Due to current conditions, the North Brunswick Municipal Building will open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Monday, February 23, at 12:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. 
 
Any additional updates will be shared through the Township website and official social media channels as they become available.
 
The North Brunswick Senior Center, located on 15 Linwood Place, will be closed on Monday, February 23.
 
The Senior Tax-Aide Program will be cancelled tomorrow.
 
All DPRCS activities and events are cancelled tomorrow, Monday, February 23.
 
All garbage collection and any bulk appointments for Monday, February 23 are cancelled.
 
DPW will advise if there are any cancellations for recycling as soon as we know. Thank you for your understanding.
 
All North Brunswick Township schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23. All after school events and activities are also cancelled.
