The Belmar 5 mile run and activities this weekend, September 4th and 5th.
Friday, September 4th, the Belmar 5 Kid’s Race and activities will be held at Silver Lake Park at 5th and Ocean at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will follow at dusk. The area for the race and fireworks will be shut down to vehicular traffic during the events.
The Belmar 5 will be held on Saturday, September 5th. The run will start at 8:00am. At 7:00am, all of Ocean Avenue, North Blvd, and 5th through 9th Avenue Ocean to Main Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic until the race ends. Please expect some delays while the runners are on the course and cooperate with public safety officials and race volunteers. There will be no parking along Ocean Avenue from 1st to 9th Avenue and around Silver Lake. Anyone who needs to leave areas that will be closed are to travel westbound towards Main Street.
