Fireworks Postponed until Friday, July 10th at 6PM
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for our area from Noon Wednesday to 8PM Saturday. Temperatures on Thursday are predicted to rise to 104 degrees, with a heat index of 112 degrees.
The heat index at 9PM on Thursday, July 2nd is anticipated to be hovering around 100 degrees. Based on this forecast, and in the interest of the health and safety of attendees, staff, volunteers and vendors, the Township has made the difficult decision to postpone the annual Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks to the rain date of Friday, July 10th. While all of us are disappointed, we hope everyone can join us next Friday to celebrate our Country’s 250th birthday.
